Slow Food UK’s Forgotten Foods programme preserves Britain’s unique food heritage. It travels the country collecting small-scale quality produce threatened by industrial agriculture, environmental degradation and homogenization. Please make a contribution to our work and DONATE NOW.Often, these products are close to extinction, so we aim to raise awareness so they may be rediscovered and returned to the market.
This way, we preserve our country’s edible biodiversity, support small farmers and save traditional flavours that are easily lost in today’s modern food system.
