Leeds born chef John trained at the city’s well known Thomas Danby College before honing his skills in a number of restaurants and hotels around the country, including a decade in London where he was involved in opening and establishing innovative restaurants and gastropubs within the city centre. A passionate advocate for local and seasonal produce, he returned to his Northern roots in 2000, where his award winning cooking features a blend of well researched traditional and classical dishes with a modern , fresh touch and a simplicity of presentation.
