David grew up in Surrey with food and cooking all around him. At the age 14 he decided that he was going to be a chef. After completing his apprenticeship at One Lombard Street he worked at a number of different restaurants and hotels across London and the French Alps.
He set up his company – Four Gables Group – in 2008, which has recently moved from their premises in Battersea to their farm in Surrey. Four Gables Group is a bespoke events company along with a high end cookery school. David’s precision and attention to detail has seen the company grow from strength to strength. David is careful to use local suppliers along with what is grown and produced on the farm in an aim to be at least 25% self-sufficient.
David lives in Ashtead (Surrey) with Alice and their livestock which keep them busy and entertained.
