Graysons Restaurants are contract caterers with values and sustainability at the heart of what they do.

Graysons Restaurants and Slow Food in the UK are collaborating to support the Ark of Taste, the International “At Risk Register” for rare and heritage varieties of crops and breeds.

Graysons have nominated products to the Ark including Blenheim Orange Apple, Laxtons Superior Apple, English Ewes Milk Cheeses (Berkswell) and English Raw Milk Cheeses (Stichelton). There will be a programme of additional nominations throughout the year.

Graysons Restaurants are a contract caterer with many sites within the UK such as The British Library, the Crick Institute and the Rolls Royce Factory and intend to use the Ark Products on their menus throughout their portfolio.

Barry Nichols, Graysons Executive Head Chef says “Graysons sees the support and use of Ark products as part of our core values: that we can support our food heritage in a tangible sustainable way, which is also delicious to our customers

For example, we have commissioned chutney to be made with Blenheim Orange apples, preserving what is otherwise a seasonal fruit, sustaining British orchards and delivering a fantastic tasting product”

Slow Food is grateful to Graysons for their support of the Ark of Taste and Slow Food more generally

Graysons Restaurants are key sponsors of the Ark of Taste within the UK.

They have sponsored the following Ark of Taste products:

Blenheim Orange Apple
Laxtons Superior Apple
