Cooking Demo at the Edinburgh’s Farmers Market

On Saturday 1rst of February, our Slow Foodies in Scotland challenged the cold weather to organize a successful cooking demo at the Farmer’s market in Edinburgh. It was Hebridian lamb on the menu, cooked to perfection by Chris Thompson from The Pantry in Stockbridge. Hebridian lamb comes from Hebridian sheep, a rare breed that is particularly adapted to resist difficult climate conditions, and was provided by Rob Dewey, proud owner of the family Lathocar Farm in Fife.

This is a wonderful initiative led by some of our Scottish Slow Foodies: great food, from a local producer, cooked by a local chef! It’s everything we stand for. Way to go Edinburgh!
