Slow Food Edinburgh has a monthly stall at the Edinburgh Farmers’ Market, providing a platform for local producers and chefs. They also organise monthly Slow Suppers to help link food businesses with local food producers – and to let people find out more about Slow Food in a relaxed, social environment. Slow Food Edinburgh holds farm visits and other events focusing on food production and preparation, as well as engaging in community gardening projects and other initiatives. The Group also helps organise a ‘chef’s market’ to bring chefs and producers together. Other recent activities have included running Slow Food’s The Taste Adventure at the Royal Highland Show – over 1,000 children experienced The Taste Adventure at the UK’s largest agricultural show.
