Being a member of a Slow Food local group is a great way of connecting with your local food community. Slow Food Cumbria is the local group for the Slow Food movement for those living in Cumbria and close by, celebrating all the artisan and traditional foodie delights of this very special region. Slow Food Cumbria seeks to connect local food lovers with the best of their local food producers to facilitate sustainable, responsible and – above all, enjoyable – eating and drinking, in accordance with the Slow Food philosophy. Slow Food Cumbria has its HQ at Kirklinton Hall, just north of Carlisle, and organises events throughout the year.
Slow Food Cumbria will be hosting a local fundraising event for Slow Food Week. Tickets will be £15 with proceeds donated to Slow Food UK to continue working on the Forgotten Foods programme. For more information on ticket sales and other local events, please contact the group leader.
