There’s a very strong schedule of fabulous food events for this year’s Slow Food UK Week, with top chefs, including Richard Corrigan, Angela Hartnett, Giorgio Locatelli, Francesco Mazzei and Cyrus Todiwala making sure that there’s a wonderful event to attend each day of the week.
The 53 Slow Food UK Chef Alliance members are creating these
Tuesday June 19 at 6.15 -7.30 Food artist Caroline Hobkinson will be bringing “2062”, a spectacle of the feast in performance and social commentary, to Rivington Grill, Shoreditch, on Tuesday June 19, as part of Slow Food Week.
In collaboration with Rivington’s Head Chef, Simon Wadham, she will help us to make sense of our world
London, May 1 2012: Chef Heinz Reitbauer of Steirereck inVienna,Austria has been announced as the winner of the first ever Slow Food UK Award, sponsored by Highland Park, at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards held at the Guildhall in London.
The award was given to the restaurant within this year’s ‘50 Best’ list which
1 May 2012. At last night’s World’s 50 Best Restaurants event, the newly created ‘Forgotten Foods Roulette Wheel’, created by Slow Food UK, was given a spin for the first time ever, with support from leading sustainable coffee brand, Lavazza ¡Tierra!
The distinctive wheel was placed at the centre of the reception, at Guildhall
Top Welsh and West Country chefs will come together on the 23th of April 2012 to mark the launch of Slow Food UK’s Chef Alliance in the region – a new initiative, supported by Highland Park whisky, which will encourage the nation’s chefs to actively support the aims of Slow Food UK.
The event will take
Local foodie movement, Slow FoodUK, has announced that it has established a new group inOrkney,Scotland.
The group, known within Slow Food as a ‘Convivium’, is predominantly made up of Orkney residents, and was officially launched yesterday by Slow Food UK’s CEO, Catherine Gazolli, with an event hosted at the Highland Park whisky distillery on the island.
