Colin McGurran
Colin McGurran is a technically skilled, experimental but classically trained chef with international Michelin experience.
He began his career at the Michelin-starred Domaines Haut de Loire, France. Following this, he spent time catering for the demands of the glitterati in Abu Dhabi including the Royal Family.
In his passion for ingredients and provenance, Colin is careful to champion local producers. The award-winning menu is tailored daily around the best quality local ingredients Colin and his team source from the immediate vicinity.
This passion for the best ingredients has led Colin to found his own small farm on land at Winteringham Fields, offering the kitchen fresh eggs daily and hand-reared lamb. All seasonal vegetables and fruits are also picked from the orchards and fields surrounding the 16th century manor house.
Tucked away in one of Lincolnshire’s prettiest villages, Winteringham Fields is recognised as one of the best restaurants in Britain. A discreet and premier restaurant with rooms, it is owned and run by the McGurran family who continue to build on its magnificent reputation.
Winteringham Fields has long been established as the ideal location for a special treat, celebratory meal, event or wedding. Renowned for its delightful and experienced staff, the restaurant recently won ‘Best French Restaurant’ in Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Ramsay’s Best Restaurant’ on Channel 4.
